walking down Fillmore st. gave me a huge culture shock! Walking from white central felt that we weren’t good enough for the area.. into Asian community asians looked scared of us.. through the indian block, actually felt welcomed. and into black central never felt that someone wanted to blow me up just because i was walking on their part of the cement. Just minutes from each community, was an experience.
Now that we’re separated, it feels awkward calling you by your real name. Usually your name on my phone is “babe” but now it’s just plain. Sometimes I just want to say I miss you baby, but I don’t want you to have the wrong impression. I wish we…
